DAY 1: Arrival in Havana
Arrival in Havana and transfer to your accommodation Hotel Plaza (****). Hotel Plaza was once the home of a wealthy Cuban family and is one of Havana's oldest hotels. The hotel's historic charm is located in the heart of the downtown core. Breakfast included. Other Hotels and upgrades to 5* accommodations available. Overnight in Havana.
DAY 2: Havana - Pinar del Rio
Pinar del Rio
Pinar del Rio is one of Cuba's most westernmost provinces. In this relaxing City you will find the plantations which boast the world's finest cigars. The scenery in Pinar del Rio is spectacular, filled with vast plains and Cuban cowboys. Enjoy the vast tropical rainforests spotted with picturesque villages. In Pinar del Rio, small shops operate out of single storey houses. The most architecturally interesting area is Calle Martí, the main bustling street.
Viñales was established in 1878 as a small community, complete with church, school, hospital and recreation park. The region is located 180 km west from Havana in the town of Sierra de los Organos, lying in the Pinar del Rio province. The beautiful flora and fauna and adventurous series of cave systems are the largest in Cuba. The actual valley of Viñales is characterized by cliffs and rocks from the Jurassic period. One attraction not to miss out on are mogotes, limestone peaks which can go as high as 400 meters.
Another aspect of the region which makes it very attractive are the tobacco plantations. Enjoy the picturesque architecture of Viñales, which feature a mixture of colonial and classical style elements. Roofs painted red and windows painted in vibrant colors are found in most of the houses, which were built at the end of 18th/ beginning of the 19th century.
Following breakfast around 08:30am, you will meet your guide and be transferred to Pinar del Río, in western Cuba. Enjoy a visit to a tobacco factory which boasts the best cigars in the world, and discover the picturesque town with a guided city walk. After your city tour, escape to the Viñales Valley. In this region the famed Cuban tobacco grows through the rough rocky landscape due to ideal climate and soil conditions. Take a break and feast on a traditional Cuban lunch.
Have a short rest and then prepare for your first bike tour (ca.10km). You will visit the the largest system of underground caves in Latin America, the Cueva del Indio. Cueva del Indio is a beautiful system of caves at sea level and you can view the "Polymitas," considered the most delightful little snails in the world and whom are endemic to Cuba. In particular, visit a cave where the River San Vicente river runs through it. Overnight and dinner at hotel Rancho San Vicente. This charming hotel is special for enjoying nature and is located in the San Vicente Valley, just a short distance from the Viñales Valley. You will surely be able to view the local flora and the fauna from the hotel. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included.
DAY 3: Excursion Cayo Jutias

Have fun and relax in this majestic beach paradise which boasts white sand extending for miles and crystal clear transparent blue water. If your favorite pastimes include relaxing on the beach and partaking in watersport activities, this will be the perfect place for you!
After breakfast be prepared for an 55 km ride, while soaking up the the enchanting views of the Sierra de los Organos, a UNESCO World Heritage site which has a landscape characterised by steep sided limestone hills and flat, fertile valleys.
The beach of Cayo Jutias is found on a little island connected to the mainland by a man-made causeway. Once there, enjoy an charming lunch by the beach, where you have the option of hiring a boat or partaking in a swim in the sea. For your return, choose to take a bus ride or cycle back to Viñales to the hotel Rancho San Vicente, where you will have dinner and spend the night. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
DAY 4: Ancon Valley
Today's ride takes you on the Jagua Vieja Road to the Palma at Ancón Valley, a 30 km tour of charismatic landscapes and unscathed valleys. View the coffee plantation in the valley, and see nearby workers' housing and charming local schools that serve the local population. Subject to availability, visit the country lodge where Fidel Castro held secret reunions during the Cuban Revolution. Enjoy a lovely picnic lunch in the lush green valley before continuing to your next destination, the Hotel Villa Aguas Claras. This modern and comfortable hotel is located in tranquil natural surroundings between Pinar del Rio City and Viñales valley. Have dinner at the Villa and spend the night. Breakfast, Picnic Lunch, Dinner included.
DAY 5: Soroa
The city of Soroa is well known for its selection of mineral baths. A natural biosphere reserve, relax in these luxurious mineral baths and to visit the waterfalls in El Salto. One of the most lavish attractions is the orchid garden, or the "jardin de las orquídeas," which features an opulent amount of 700 different types of flowers.
After breakfast drive to the Cueva de los Portales. This stunning area was the hide out of Che Guevera used during the '62 standoff with Kennedy. After this you will start the daily bike ride, (ca. 45 km) to Soroa over the Carretera Central, the west-east highway spanning the length of the island of Cuba. For dinner, meet at the Hotel Villa Soroa (**), a tourist hotel in a natural setting where you will spend the night. Breakfast, Dinner included.
DAY 6: Las Terrazas
For your bike ride today, you will visit the small community and nature reserve of Las Terrazas in the Province of Pinar del Rio. Located in the Sierra del Rosario mountain range, Las Terrazas was proclaimed a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1984. The majority of the populace in Las Terrazas work in the eco-tourism and timber industry. Enjoy lunch at a quaint little farmhouse on the way. Overnight accommodation at Hotel El Moka. Hotel El Moka is one of the most striking hotels in Cuba, set amid the luxurious setting of Las Terrazas. This intimate, romantic hotel is fully deserving of your time. Daily route: 20 km. Breakfast, Lunch included.
DAY 7: Havana
The lively, vibrant and exciting culture of Havana makes it a destination you will surely not forget. The picturesque architecture, lovely cobblestone streets and beautifully set promenades are a setting you will surely enjoy. The historical centre of Havana is also declared a UNESCO world heritage site.
After breakfast you will be taken by bus to Havana. Following a short break at the Hotel enjoy a traditional Cuban lunch at a local restaurant in old Havana. After lunch, take advantage of your free time and spend an afternoon exploring the rest of the city. Breakfast and Lunch included. Overnight in Havana.
DAY 8: Tour Ends
Breakfast at the Hotel, your Guide will assist you with your return home arrangements.
