After breakfast at your Hotel, join your guide for a full day of sightseeing tour of The Great Pyramids & Sphinx + Valley Temple of Khafre followed by the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).
The Pyramids of Giza complex is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World that remains in one piece.
The pyramids are named after the Pharaohs who built them; Khufu is the tallest, followed by Khafre and Menkaure, which is the one located in the front.
The Pyramids are not decorated inside, and there are no treasures or mummies. You can visit them inside by purchasing a separate ticket. Although it is safe to tour the pyramids inside, you must be relatively fit since you go through steep stairways and low passages; some people also find it claustrophobic.
The tour continues to Khafre’s Valley temple and the Great Sphinx. This famous monument carved out of limestone has the facial features of a man but the body of a lion.
After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the New Grand Egyptian Museum ( GEM ). The highly anticipated Grand Egyptian Museum, houses the world's most extensive collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including treasures from King Tutankhamun's tomb.
Apart from housing a fantastic array of unseen artifacts, this modern building also offers a stunning panoramic view over the Pyramids, linking Egypt's past and present culture in one site.

Things went seamlessly for us. Both guides were enthusiastic, highly responsive, knowledgeable and mindful of physical limitations. A special shout out to Ibrahim who made sure we had a good time and quick to accommodate our unique interests and needs. He is a gem. I have only good things to say about the Cairo accommodations and the entire cruise was crazy amazing! The well-chosen historical sites, scenery and cultural insights were presented well. The ship, food/drink, upgraded suite, service and crew were FANTASTIC. It has made being home both a chore and disappointing.

This was an incredible, amazing trip! We booked a 17-day Egypt & Nile River Cruise, March 2026. This is the 1st time using Platinum Holidays and I'm glad we did. Our trip advisor, Junior did great job organizing all the details. We had flight cancellations going to Egypt but the airlines and Junior had us back on track and on board the m/s Saray cruise ship without missing any sites. This was a 17 day trip with 15 days cruising the Nile river from Aswan to Cairo. We were 5 people, expecting to be in a larger group but and surprised to find only ourselves with a private guide, Kareem (an Egyptologist & so passionate about Egypt's history) with us throughout the journey. The daily tours of the historical, cultural sites with Kareem were wonderful, informative, right-paced and without incident. Kareem was extremely knowledgeable and was able to show, explain extra details and take more time with us as we were a small group. The itinerary, the greeting agents at airports, the ship's staff, ship's accommodations/food/service, our guide, drivers, tours and schedule were top-notch & professional. Platinum Holidays and Junior has indeed put together a super trip of a lifetime. This trip was envisioned for a long time and we're so happy we booked with Platinum. We highly recommend this trip with Platinum Holidays and I will not hesitate to book future trips with them.

Egypt tour - February, 2026 - Thank you, Deodene, for arranging our wonderful trip to Egypt. All your arrangements went smoothly, and the tours, transportation and accommodations were first class. We had a different local guide for each location, and they were all courteous, knowledgeable (and on time). The Nile cruise cabins were very roomy, more like great hotel rooms than ship cabins. There were a lot of great food choices at the buffets at all the meals on the cruise, and the staff and chefs were very accommodating to any special requests. We had two stops most days and the different tombs were amazing. The extras included in our tour were fun, like the camel rides at Giza and the evening sail on the felucca sailing boats. We were very lucky with the mild temperatures, and no insects at this time of year. Thanks again for help in arranging this trip.
