Itinerary

Board your International flight to Istanbul;; we offer departures from most major Cities in the USA and Canada. You need a valid Canadian or American Passport; it must be valid for six to eight months from your exact return date.

Please note American and Canadian Passport Holders need a Tourist Visa to visit Turkey. Visa can be obtained online before departure at: www.evisa.gov.tr/en/.

Upon arrive at the Istanbul airport, you will be met and assisted by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Istanbul.

No Meals

After breakfast at the hotel, explore the historical city of Istanbul. You will be taken on a tour through Sogukcesme Street with its wooden houses that are now considered landmark buildings of ottoman architecture to arrive at the Topkapi Palace.

Topkapi Palace is the largest and oldest of the remaining palaces of the Ottoman Sultans; admire the gardens, kitchens, the treasury section as well as terraces overlooking the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to take photos at the Fountain of Sultan Ahmet the 3rd, and explore Saint Sophia, the masterpiece of Byzantine architecture dating back to the VIth century.

After lunch, visit the Blue Mosque covered by more than 20.000 Iznik tiles and continue with the Roman Hippodrome where chariot races used to take place. Your final stop is the labyrinth tunnels of the Grand Bazaar to discover the handcrafts of Anatolia and do some shopping if you prefer.

Breakfast and lunch

After breakfast, set off on a tour to explore Bosphorus. You will start with a walk along the Golden Horn, the estuary that divides the European part of Istanbul. The first stop will be the Egyptian Bazaar, where you can explore the lively market full of aromas the flavor of the East.

Before lunch, embark on a local boat for a trip along the Bosphorus, which connects the Black Sea with the Marmara Sea. During the crossing you will be able to admire the beautiful European and Asian shores of Istanbul with its palaces, fortresses, and beautiful wooden residences.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Beylerbeyi Palace, former residence of the sultans on the shore of the Bosphorus. Climb the hill and admire the beautiful panoramic views, before going back to the hotel.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Istanbul’s airport to board your flight to Athens.

Upon arrival in Athens, you will be met by one of our representative and transferred to your Athens hotel.

After breakfast at your hotel, begin your day with a panoramic tour of the most important monuments and landmarks of Athens, including the Panathinaikon stadium, the Zappeion, the temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, Syntagma square, the Parliament, the tomb of the unknown soldier, Schliemann's house, the Academy, the University, the National Library, and the old Parliament. Next, a guided visit to the Acropolis, including the Propylaea, the temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon, and the Erechtheion. Later, continue with a guided visit to the Acropolis Museum. Rest of the day at leisure to explore the city at your own pace.

After breakfast, depart northwards towards Delphi, which used to be the most sacred place in the ancient world; admire the Sanctuary of Apollo, and walk the Sacred way to the Pythia (the Oracle). Cross the mountains of central Greece to arrive in Kalambaka on time for dinner.

Breakfast at your Hotel. Start your sightseeing with a visit to the famous Meteora Monasteries. Fantastic rock formations, like sandstone towers, stand ageless and have provided sacred retreats for monks over the centuries. The view over the plain is breathtaking. Meteora is considered among the most beautiful areas of mainland Greece.

Return to Athens with a stop at Thermopylae to admire the statue of Leonidas, king of Sparta.
